We all know that chocolate is the best comfort food. But, a new study shows it may help the brain as well!
2.Can This Be True?
Ever hear of flavonoids? They are found within the cocoa powder. These were extracted and given to a test group of healthy 50-60 year olds over a period of 3 months. The group that were given a greater amount scored better in memory function tests than those who received a lesser amount. Exercise did not seem to impact brain function.
3.There’s Always a “But”..
To be effective, you’d have to eat A LOT of chocolate. Every single day you would have to eat about 44 pounds of chocolate to get an adequate amount of flavonoids. (Sounds good to us!)
