To prepare for the movie, American Sniper, Bradley Cooper had to make a 24/7 commitment. He had to transform both emotionally and physically. The exercise regimen was brutal and he had to consume massive amounts of food.

1.Bulking Up

Cooper had to gain approximately 40 pounds of mainly muscle. That equated to about 8,000 calories a day. He ate about every 55 minutes.

His trainer was with him constantly. Talk about devotion. Cooper worked out 4 hours daily, 7 days a week. He did not use any hormone or steroid supplements.
