Ben Affleck knew to make his character believable, he’d have to “look the part.” He credits longtime trainer, Walter Norton, Jr. Affleck states he worked “day in and day out.”

1. Ben Has Known His Trainer A Long Time

That made getting “bulked up” easier. His trainer made weekly flights to wherever Ben was staying. Since Norton was already familiar with how Affleck’s body worked, dealing with the inevitable aches and pains came a little easier. Still, the workouts were intense.

3. Affleck’s Exercise Routine Consisted Of Blocks That Focused on Different Body Parts

Block 1 lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of warm up and movement exercises. Block 2 focused on his torso and strength and lasted about 40 minutes.
