3. Quinoa

This grain is gaining traction, fast. Served in both grain or flour forms, quinoa strengthens bones and maintains muscles. It also rids the body of bad cholesterol and hypertension.
4. Buckwheat

This protein may be less well known, but just as important as the others. Easy to add in salads or served as a cooked grain, it aids in digestion and helps prevent anemia.
5. A Favorite Classic, Peanut Butter

This is a great food to help build muscle mass. High in protein and “good” fats, the peanut butter should be organic to avoid unwanted sugars and oils.
