Sooner or later, everyone has a hard time falling asleep at night.

A good night’s sleep is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Here’s some ideas to try to help you relax at night.

Turn off the TV or computer.

The brightness of the screen alone can keep you up.

Worried?  Make a list of what needs to get done the next day, so you’re not up all night thinking about it.

“Prep” the night before.

You’ll be less stressed in the morning.

Journal. Get your dreams and fears off your mind and on the written page.

You’d be surprised how your fears are released.

Have a pet?  Play with it.

There is nothing better than that feeling of unconditional love that a pet can bring.

Read, or listen to an audiobook. Finally, take a long, indulgent hot bath or long shower.

It’s relaxing, and will save you time in the morning.
