Charles Eugster is a champion sprinter in his age group. He works out on a regular basis, and his body is closer to that of a 30 year old.
2.Keeping Productive Is Key

Born in London in 1919, he was a dentist for most of his life. He always set goals for himself such as producing a dental newsletter from age 75-82. Mr. Eugster points out how the world loses out on amazing resources when people are fired or forced to retire at age 65.
3.You’re Never Too Old To Get In Shape

Mr. Eugster did not start any weight training until he turned age 87. He began by working out with a former Mr. Universe to put on muscle. This caused a weight loss of 24 pounds by the time he turned 88. He did not start running until age 95.
4.When Being Vain Is An Asset

Mr. Eugster relates that, at 87, he noticed his body was deteriorating despite rowing 6 days a week. He didn’t like the way he looked and worked hard to change his appearance. He notes that by age 85, people lose about 50% of their muscle mass.

Mr. Eugster strongly believes that people redefine retirement. He notes the importance of staying active, especially building muscle mass.
