Don’t wait for the new year to start a new exercise routine!

Start now!  After all, September is the start of the school year.

Make it also be the start of committing to a healthier self.

It makes sense.  The weather is more inviting and activity options increase.

That’s important when trying to make a new habit.

It takes about 4 weeks to adapt to lifestyle changes.

So, it’s a lot easier to make those changes before it gets dark so early.

Some folks follow the 3 C’s: commitment, convenience and consistency.

Of course, don’t forget obvious changes in lifestyle make a difference as well.

When parking, pick a spot that is farther away from your building.

Use stairs instead of elevators.

Stand, rather than sit, for a time when working.

Try to spend part of your break or lunchtime, walking.
