It’s almost Fall!

With cooler weather, our food choices often change.

Here’s some suggestions to eat hearty, but healthy.

That potpie will fill you with 1,000 calories.

Try roasted chicken or turkey instead.

If you need the bread, try a whole wheat roll.  

Who doesn’t love Oktoberfest? Beer, brats and potato salad?

Try drinking and eating smaller portions.

Chili and stew are cool weather food favorites.

Switch out fatty meats with other protein sources.

Try turkey or go out of your comfort zone and use tofu!

Flavorful spices and beans will go along way.

Cream soups in a bread bowl.

Consider ditching the bread bowl and eat broth and vegetable based soups.

You don’t have to give up your favorite foods.

But, remember that moderation is key!
