Coach Cooper, as many local kids and moms refer to the ebullient regular at MBS, has been a stellar member for seven years,
“I haven’t had the itch to switch yet,” he jokes. “I joined because I needed a change from my old gym and this has proven to be the best move I made.”
The “backside of 50” Account Manager at BrightView Landscape is another true gentleman who sent along with a photo of himself with his mom for this article, ‘because I love her.”
Barry is at the gym daily and often attends Stacy Rosen’s body sculpting classes where he gamely bears the brunt of oftentimes being the only guy in the room with humor and aplomb.
Besides work and working out, he also manages Junior Varsity Baseball at St. John Paul II Academy (formerly Pope High School) in Boca Raton.
“I enjoy coaching for what I get in return,” he says. “I like to help student-athletes mature and get them ready for varsity baseball. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a young player develop to his full potential.”
Barry sings the praises of MBS.
“Whether I am at the gym at 7 a.m. or 5 p.m., the members, the trainers, and the staff are always helpful, smiling and happy. There are no fake people!”
And he values the friendships he’s made of the years.
“I view Michael’s Body Scenes as a family. You can go to any gym and they will have weights, machines, and classes. But they do not have the quality of trainers and people that Michael’s has.
