Some folks are looking for general flexibility, others are more location specific.
Flexibility has a lot to do with how agile you already are. Fitness requires commitment and patience, especially for those just starting.
For some, an increase in flexibility can be accomplished by watching TV or tapes. For others, a personal trainer is a must!
